I am using woo commerce for my online store. I can only receive payment from customer using Paypal. My customers need to open a Paypal account if they want to purchase from my store. It’s easy to open Paypal account, you only need a credit card.
But what if someday my returning customers want to re-purchase and pay with credit card instead of Paypal? Although setting up n PayPal account is a simple process, some of my customers were not comfortable doing so.
I don’t have credit card processor in my store? Customer is a king, and I can’t give best service to my king. My customers will upset and I lost the potential buyer. That’s why we need a merchant account.

But hey.. be careful about the chargeback fee. Make sure you read all the merchant account credit card fees.

Go to https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/merchant and click the blue button ‘get started’. On the next page, you can see many options that suit your business. I choose Payments Pro. It cost USD $30 per months but I can get many benefits than Payments Standard or Express Checkout. I can provide customers with a fully customized checkout experience right on my site and also includes Virtual Terminal to allow me to accept payments over the phone
How to create PayPal merchant account accepting credit card
You can create an account in a few minutes. You’ll need your email address, business address, and a few other bits of information. Activate all the payment features you want using a partner, developer, or by yourself. After all finished and you’ve been approved, you can start collecting payments via PayPal, credit and debit cards. Yeay! No more lost customers.
Wha I like using Merchant Account to Accept Credit Card
Since 2011, I only use paypal. I got so many questions from my customers. Do you accept credit cards? Well, I said yes. By using Paypal, you can pay with a credit card. But many of them don’t understand how paypal works in online shopping. They only know, “I have a credit card, I put the card number on the website, and done”. Most of them are old people who need to update their information.
